I cannot stress how valuable it was to get “real” feedback from experts who review pitches on a daily basis, and who were genuinely interested in helping us build and develop our own ideas.

Success Story for Joshua

I was fortunate to attend the Institute for Biomedical Entrepreneurship Certificate Program led by Curt Sprouse. This extraordinarily informative 5 day program provided a “crash course” on how to start a company, with a focus on pharma and biotech entrepreneurship. A portion of each day was dedicated to hearing industry leaders provide valuable insights on focus areas such as developing scientific ideas, licensing technologies, how to found your corporation, legal considerations, regulatory considerations, how to acquire early funding, and many other topic areas that are critical to founding a company. Curt and his team of experts were engaged and knowledgeable in their respective fields, and led lively discussions on each topic. Furthermore, we had the unique opportunity to form teams, develop an idea, and make a pitch in front of potential investors and other industry leaders. I cannot stress how valuable it was to get “real” feedback from experts who review pitches on a daily basis, and who were genuinely interested in helping us build and develop our own ideas. Beyond the valuable learning opportunities provided by the IBE program, Curt and the team that he has brought together with the IBE represent a valuable network of expertise, with members that seem genuinely interested in supporting and promoting the success of their colleagues. Overall, I found the IBE Certificate Program to be an extremely enriching and enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend this program to anyone who has ever considered building a company around their own technology or ideas. Bravo to Curt and his team!

The IBE Difference

The IBE brings the specialized know-how and the funding required for translational development success.

The IBE is a lean operating company that uses disciplined processes, leverages existing resources (incubators, CROs), and taps into expert networks to work on many product opportunities in parallel, rather than trying to build one startup at a time.
